Space with Primary 2 & 3

24th Jun 2026

During Term 3, the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring our World Around Us topic, Space. We began our journey by learning all about Earth, and the children created some beautiful paintings of our planet, proudly showcasing their creativity and understanding. As their curiosity grew, we explored each of the planets in our solar system, taking part in an exciting planet fact hunt where the children discovered fascinating information about each one.

One of the highlights of the term was our outdoor astronaut training course. The children loved challenging themselves through a range of activities designed to give them a taste of what it might be like to train as an astronaut. They also had great fun creating and painting their own papier-mâché planets, producing colourful and imaginative models that brightened up our classroom displays.

Throughout the topic, the children were enthusiastic learners, eager to share the many interesting facts they had discovered about space. From hands-on investigations to creative art activities, they embraced every opportunity to learn, explore and have fun. It was wonderful to see their excitement and curiosity grow as they journeyed through the wonders of our solar system.
