St. Teresa’s Primary School Supports Local Charity with Autumn Scarecrow Project
This term, our Primary 7 pupils, led by Mrs Reavey, have taken part in a creative and community-focused Autumn project in support of the local charity “Head Injury Support”. The charity invited local schools to design and build scarecrows to be exhibited in Derrymore Forest Park, Camlough, as part of a special fundraising event.
With great enthusiasm and teamwork, Mrs Reavey and the Primary 7 class planned, designed and crafted a fantastic scarecrow using only natural and recycled materials. Their creation reflects both creativity and care for the environment and we are incredibly proud of their efforts.
The scarecrows from participating schools will be on display in Derrymore Forest Park on Sunday 26th October from 10am to 4pm. The “Head Injury Support” Charity Team is inviting all pupils, parents, staff and members of the local community to come along, enjoy the display and vote for their favourite school scarecrow. The school with the most votes will win a £100 prize.
This afternoon, Roisin and Kevin from Head Injury Support visited our school to collect our scarecrow. They expressed their sincere thanks to Mrs Reavey and the Primary 7 pupils for their participation and were very impressed by the creativity and quality of our scarecrow.
We warmly encourage all our families to visit Derrymore Forest Park on Sunday and cast your vote for St. Teresa’s, Tullyherron.
Let’s show our support for this wonderful cause and celebrate the hard work of our pupils!
