Our Primary 7 pupils had a wonderful day at the Confirmation Retreat on Thursday 5th March in the De La Salle Retreat Centre, Belfast.
Throughout the retreat, the children took part in a range of engaging activities designed to deepen their understanding of the Sacrament of Confirmation, which they will receive on Wednesday 25th March.
They explored the meaning of being blessed with the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit and reflected on how these can guide them in their daily lives.
The retreat concluded with a beautiful and reverent Prayer Service, helping the children to spiritually prepare for receiving the Sacrament in St. Malachy’s Church, Ballymoyer.
This experience was not only meaningful in supporting their preparation for Confirmation, but also provided valuable opportunities for the children to meet and collaborate with pupils from the three other schools in our parish, an experience that will support their transition to Post-Primary school in September.
Afterwards, the children enjoyed a fun?filled afternoon of bowling at Air-tastic, Lisburn, followed by a delicious meal in the Bostin Grill.
