Primary 6 and 7 Microsoft Coding Workshop
Primary 6 and 7 pupils thoroughly enjoyed participating in a Microsoft Coding Workshop on Monday 12th June. The session was expertly facilitated and delivered by Mr Trevor Cunningham, a Microsoft Engineer, alongside his children, Niamh and Darragh.
During the workshop, pupils had the opportunity to plan and design their own Microsoft video games using block coding. They explored key computer science concepts such as variables, artificial intelligence (AI) and mathematical thinking, while also showcasing their creativity by customising their individual games.
As part of the workshop, Mr Cunningham also awarded two prizes for the “Coin Flip” challenge. Congratulations to Mollie O’ and Anna, who were the deserving winners.
At the end of the session, each pupil was presented with a certificate in recognition of successfully completing their Microsoft video game. Well done to all the boys and girls for their fantastic achievements!
We extend our sincere thanks to Mr Trevor Cunningham, Niamh, and Darragh for delivering such an engaging, enjoyable and highly beneficial workshop.
