The sun shone very brightly on St. Teresa’s Primary School, Tullyherron today, Tuesday 15th June 2021, when Armagh County Superstar, Niall Grimley, visited our school to present the Sports Day medals. As part of this special occasion, the Primary 3 to Primary 7 pupils had the opportunity to interview Niall, asking him excellent questions about his early Gaelic Career, his highlights and achievements and Niall’s aspirations for the future. The children really enjoyed listening and learning from Niall’s experiences and very sound words of advice.
We would like to thank Niall for visiting St. Teresa’s and for his very inspirational words for our pupils, not only in their sporting interests, but also in their future careers!
Niall’s visit has been one of St. Teresa’s highlights of this 2020-2021 School Year, we wish him and the Armagh Team all the very best in this year’s Senior All-Ireland Championship and in Niall’s future Career.
This occasion marked this week’s AllianzIreland Cumann na mBunscol Golden Jubilee of promoting Gaelic Games in Primary Schools throughout Ireland.
