Preparing for Change Programme – Primary 7
As part of our commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of every child, our Primary 7 pupils recently took part in the Preparing for Change programme, delivered by Joanne Callan of Changing Cycles.
This programme, delivered as part of our PDMU and RSE curriculum, is designed to help pupils prepare for the important transition from primary to post-primary education. Over a series of engaging workshops, the children were supported in understanding and navigating the changes they will experience as they move to the next stage of their educational journey.
Throughout the sessions, pupils were given practical strategies to manage change, express their feelings and build confidence in a supportive and nurturing environment. It also provided valuable opportunities for open discussion, reflection and reassurance as they prepare for this significant milestone.
We were delighted with the positive engagement of our Primary 7 pupils and the mature, thoughtful way they participated in each session. Programmes such as this play an important role in supporting our pupils’ emotional wellbeing and ensuring they feel confident, prepared and excited for the journey ahead.
We extend our sincere thanks to Joanne Callan for delivering such a meaningful and impactful programme and to our parents for their continued support.
