Whole-School Recycling Workshop with ARC21

20th Oct 2025

Today, all pupils from Reception to Primary 7 at St. Teresa’s Primary School, Tullyherron took part in a fantastic series of workshops facilitated by Mr Noel Lyons from ARC21, a regional waste management company serving six local councils.

During the workshops, Mr Lyons spoke to the children about the importance of recycling and how it plays a vital role in protecting our environment for future generations. His engaging and informative sessions helped pupils understand how small everyday actions can make a big difference!

Following the discussion, the children had the opportunity to put their learning into action by creating fabulous Halloween crafts using recycled materials. The activity not only reinforced the message of sustainability but also allowed pupils to further develop their art and craft skills in a fun and imaginative way.

All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we are very grateful to Mr Lyons and ARC21 for inspiring our young learners to become more environmentally aware and creative in their approach to recycling.
