Grand Opera House Trip – ‘Pinocchio’

12th Jan 2026

On Friday 9th January, our Primary 5, 6 and 7 pupils enjoyed a wonderful joint trip with Mountnorris Primary School to the Grand Opera House in Belfast to watch this year’s spectacular pantomime, “Pinocchio”. Excitement was high as pupils set off from school at 11am, dressed smartly in their PE uniforms and well-prepared for the afternoon ahead.

From the moment the curtain lifted, the children were captivated. They thoroughly enjoyed the colourful characters, the lively humour and the fabulous songs that filled the theatre.

The impressive stage backgrounds and special effects added even more magic to the performance, creating a truly memorable experience for everyone.

For many pupils, visiting the historic Grand Opera House itself was a highlight. They loved the atmosphere of the beautifully restored auditorium and the chance to experience a live stage show in such an iconic venue.

The trip was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to enjoy the arts, share the experience with another local school and create special memories together. A fabulous day was enjoyed by all!
