End of Year Football Blitz's
On Monday, we had a fantastic day at our Loughgilly Blitz. Congratulations to St. Malachy’s, Ballymoyer and St. Brigid’s, Drumilly, who reached the finals, with St. Malachy’s winning the Cup and St. Brigid’s winning the Shield.
It was a brilliant day enjoyed by all participating schools, including St. Teresa’s, Tullyherron; St. Laurence O’Toole’s, Belleek; St. Michael’s, Newtown and St. Oliver’s, Carrickavaddy.
A special thank you to Ciarán McCourt and Nicola McFadden, our referees on the day, and to St. Killian’s, Whitecross GAA Committee for the use of their fantastic facilities. Thanks also to Mr. Kieran Shields, who presented the Cup, and to the Shields family for kindly sponsoring this tournament.
Today, our school football team also took part in the Gary Toner Blitz at Belleek GAA Grounds. The boys and girls showed great skill and team spirit throughout the morning.
To finish off the year, our football team enjoyed a well-deserved treat from McDonald's to celebrate their hard work, commitment, and fantastic teamwork over the school year.
Well done to all our players: Lexi, Gerardine, Taylor, Niall, Darragh, Jake, Mollie, Olivia, Conor, Moyà, Niamh, Ursula, Eva, Aoife-Rose, Oliver, Liam, and Ruairi. We’re so proud of each and every one of you!
