Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Gaelic Girls Competition 2026

15th Jan 2026

This morning, our Primary 7 girls proudly represented St. Teresa’s Primary School at the Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Gaelic Girls Competition 2026, held in Silverbridge Resource Centre from 10:00am to 12:00 noon.

The girls played extremely well, displaying excellent Gaelic skills, scoring fantastic points and goals and showing great motivation and commitment throughout the competition. Their fabulous team spirit was evident in every game and they truly enjoyed participating in this exciting competition.

The team was strongly led by their Team Captain Mollie, alongside Olivia, Moya, Niamh, Ursula, Aoife-Rose and Eva. We are very proud of our Primary 7 Girls Team for their hard work and determination.

We would like to congratulate St. Joseph’s Meigh, who won the competition and acknowledge all the other schools who took part: St. Malachy’s Ballymoyer, St. Laurence O’Toole’s Belleek and St. Moninna’s Cloughoge.

A special thank you to Mrs Collette Hicks for coordinating the competition and to Cumann na mBunscol Ard Mhacha for providing our primary school pupils with such fantastic opportunities to exhibit and develop their Gaelic skills.

Finally, we extend our gratitude to our Healthy Kidz Coach Mark McKinley, who prepared our pupils for this Indoor Competition with a dedicated skills session earlier this week.

Well done, girls – you represented St. Teresa’s with pride!
