School Council Bake Sale Raises an Amazing £480 for Charity!

2nd Apr 2026

On Wednesday 1st April, our School Council held a fantastic whole school Bake Sale — an event that was agreed on, planned, organised and led entirely by our wonderful councillors. Their hard work, initiative and sense of responsibility shone through as they prepared for the day, organised the stalls and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

The Bake Sale was a tremendous success! Pupils from Reception right through to Primary 7 came along to support the event with great enthusiasm, bringing in their money to purchase a wide variety of delicious cakes, buns and traybakes. The excitement across the school was clear to see and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the treats on offer.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our parents, carers, families and staff, who kindly sent in such a wonderful selection of baked goodies. Your support made this event possible and we are truly grateful.

Thanks to the combined efforts of our whole school community, the Bake Sale raised an outstanding total of £480. This impressive amount will be donated to the School Council’s chosen cancer charity — a cause close to many hearts and one the pupils felt strongly about supporting.

A huge congratulations to our School Council members — PJ, Gráinne, Alfie, Frank, Harley, Eva, Aoife Rose and Mollie — for organising and running such a successful event. Their teamwork and leadership were exceptional. We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Nicola for guiding and supporting the pupils so well throughout this project.

Well done to everyone involved — what a wonderful achievement for our school community!
